"She founded the Congregation of the Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception which already has 28 communities in 14 countries and thousands of believers."
"Opened large number of houses to receive the poor and needy, in Portugal, and sent Sisters to Angola, India, Guinea and Cape Verde.
She died in Lisbon on December 1, 1899, after a life dedicated entirely to charity. She was buried three days later at the cemetery dos Prazeres, in the capital of Portugal, a funeral which was accompanied by a huge crowd of believers who recognized his holiness.
Rests today in the Crypt Chapel of the Mother House in Linda-a-Pastora, Oeiras, where many devotees go to beg his intercession."
