Located in a parking lot behind the First National Bank building is a figurative sculpture of an elk made of bronze. This elk was obviously created to compliment Elk Lodge #1247 that resides in the building upstairs (the bank is gone and is currently home to El Palacio Mexican Restaurant). There are the initials 'LRS' and '2003' welded onto the base of the sculpture. I did a Google search to find out any additional information on the artist and/or the sculpture and couldn't find anything.
I personally don't care for the sculpture, aesthetically, since it looks stiff, simplified and not defined or expressive enough.
