"Gladstone" Steam locomotive and tender, used by the London Brighton & South Coast Railway, The B1 class engine is 0-4-2 No 214, designed by William Stroudley, built in Brighton in 1882, withdrawn 1927. Source: (visit link) Also a good selection of photos.

The Stephenson Locomotive Society (SLS) was founded in the UK in Autumn 1909 for the study of rail transport and locomotives.

"In 1927 the SLS restored London, Brighton and South Coast Railway B1 Class steam locomotive Gladstone. Donated in its Golden Jubilee year 1959 to the predecessor of the National Railway Museum.
