The sign reads: quote:
"The oratory was built in the late 13th century to receive, together with its attached hospital, wayfaring pilgrims, and was presided over by various members of the Bini family, most notably by Bernardo di Piero Binim who enlarged and enriched it. The façade and the interior date from 1490, and the choir from 1525. It housed the Congregation of Abandoned Lasses (1567), and then in 1594 the congregation od Cristian Doctrine, organised by the Blessed Ippolito Galantini. This later congregation afterwards moved to Via del Palazzuolo, where it wasknown as the "Vanchetoni" or Silent ones. In 1632 the oratory became the first headquarters of the Orther of St Philip Neri, and in 1774 it became a hospice."
