Being typical tourists, we were snapping pictures of interest. We spotted this Model A at the Capone Motel that offers theme rooms. Given Moose Jaw's reputation as a bootlegging and moonshine making hot spot during prohibition, many of the locals, such as this motel, capitalize on that reputation and Moose Jaw's one time connection to Al Capone and his buddies.
We suppose that the name,
Capone's Car, derives more from the fact that it is a grabber for the
Capone Motel than its ever having anything to do with Capone himself.
We completed touring the infamous Tunnels of Moose Jaw and enjoyed every minute of it. Well worth visiting. In fact, Moose Jaw has so much to offer we plan on returning.
