This flow station has been in operation since 1969. In 2002 a level meter was added.

The Jock River is a tributary of the Rideau River with the subwatershed having mainly rural land use; river slopes less than 0.5%; and there is no flow regulation. Its 526 km2 drainage area forms roughly 15% of the Rideau River watershed and reaches back to Franktown, Ontario. Maximum peak flows occur during the Spring Runoff
