Sergeant Cannon and PC Ball are two incompetent coppers facing the sack in sleepy Little Botham. In order to keep their jobs they invent crimes, including staging a painting from local bigwig Mr Lloyd. Unfortunately Mr Lloyd is actually an art thief and the hapless couple eventually end up chasing Mr Lloyd in a double deck bus.
