This Granjeno Sign is for southbound traffic. Northbound traffic get the McAllen Population Sign.
Granjeno is a very small community tucked up against the Rio Grande, directly south of McAllen. It was founded circa 1767 but not incorporated until 1993. Like most other nearby communities, the population sign is from the 2000 census; in 2010 the population dropped slightly to 293.
