This light granite mausoleum is located in the Rose Hill Cemetery - 112 Brooks in Brookfield, Mo.

This is the only mausoleum in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Mausoleum is constructed of three rows quarry-faced light grey granite. The doors are bronze with a strong green patina. Flanking the upper portion of the door is a small fan motif with a projecting scroll and ball. The entablature reads: Spalding 1912. The roof is also quarry-faced granite.

HISTORY OF LINN COUNTY, MISSOURI 1912, PAGE 439, Charles L. Spalding was born at Revenna, Portage County, Ohio on December 11, 1844. His parents were Ebenezer and Frances L. (Day) Spalding. He was married on December 26, 1870 to Miss Adella Crandall, a native of Concord, Erie Co., New York. They have had four children, their son Elliott, their daughters Irene and Lena, and their other son Seymour. Elliott is a lawyer in St. Joseph, Missouri and Lena lives in Billings, Montana. Irene and Seymour have died. "
