UPDATE - February 2019. It has been reported that the old service station is now a tint shop. The awning is gone and the paint is a bit more subdued.
On North Porter Avenue on the east side of the Norman downtown area, this vintage service station is now occupied as Design 2000 Flowers, a florist and gift shop.
The building is in excellent condition and has been painted neon green, hot pink and purple and is a delight to the eyes. There is a canopy roof over the old service bay and the supporting brick wall has a large circular opening for design. The entrance consists of a single aluminum and glass door with transom, with two large display windows to the side. There are two large windows areas which once held the overhead doors to the service area. These openings each have a 12-pane window unit. We did not view the building at night, but strips of neon lighting can be seen along the building shape which must look great after dark.
