When the script writers of the old Don Knotts movie,
The Reluctant Astronaut chose a small town at random, they must not have realized that there is a Sweetwater, Missouri! However, the "town" does not look anything like the movie's. There is nothing here but this big church and a couple of houses - see the satellite view. The church has a
web site with complete information about the church.
This bell is mounted above the church side along the road. Although the rope is missing from the crank, one can step onto the base of the sign and reach up to swing the bell.
