This small marble memorial is located in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The memorial rests on a concrete plinth. The plinth and memorial rests on an earthen mound. The inscriptions read:
Front:
In memory of the Unknown Dead
O. H. Wood Women's Relief Corps No. 5
Right:
Who on land and on sea.
during the Civil War
gave their lives in defense
of the Union.
Reverse:
They sleep for the flag.
May its stars shield dreams
of glory upon their eternal
souls forever.
Left:
This monument is erected by the Women's Relief Corps of Brookfield, Mo.
