Just outside the club house, this one of a kind bag rack is a memorial to Lou Horstm. It will hold as many as 8 bags, 10 in a pinch. It's made of steel bars and black cats with wine barrel ends, each containing a silhouette of a golfer.
The Chewelah Golf Club is one of the few around with 27 holes. The extra nine, according to the card, isn't an executive nine, either. It's a full size nine, playing at 3302 from the blues, while the front nine of the 18 plays at 3248. We visited pretty late in the season and it was raining on the day we stopped by the course, but it looks to be a pretty nice layout.
