On the corner of East Dominion Avenue and South Walnut Street, these courts have been dedicated to the memory of Tom Sheimo, an innocent victim of a fatal shooting in Colville, who died in 1987 at the age of 37. A Sportsman and a lover of tennis in particular, Tom was shot by an irate home owner during a police standoff when he happened to be driving by. Tom was an assistant brewer at Hale's Ales, a local microbrewery.

A DEAR FRIEND
A TRUE SPORTMAN
The tennis courts consist of a pair of courts, both in excellent condition, fully fenced and lit for night play.
The tennis courts are adjacent to a ball diamond and near the park's swimming pool. Colville's largest park, Yep Kanum has many facilities, including a skate park, wading pool, band stand, rest rooms, picnic and barbecue areas, a lot of trees and a volleyball court.
