Long Description:
Most people don't know that if you walk to the far end of the Dumas
Bay Centre and the Knutsen Family Theatre in Federal Way there is a
fairly hidden trail that leads behind the building and opens up
onto a small unknown city park with spectacular views of the Puget
Sound. The trail in the park that accesses the bay is currently
closed due to erosion, but you can see the whole bay perched in the
gazebo near the fence. Many birders come here when the tide is out
to watch the Blue Herons and hawks fish. I've also seen a bunch of
terns fishing here. Bring a picnic and watch the sailboats lazing
around the Puget Sound. Enjoy!
