This building was constructed for the L&N Railroad in 1888. The designer was architect Issac Taylor in a Romanesque style. The limestone facade was added in 1925 in a Classical Revival style. The buildings last tenant prior to renovation was the United Missouri Bank, who moved out in 1991. The building remained vacant until renovated in 2003, with residential lofts.
