Located inside the lobby to the entrance to the school gym at Ponderosa Jr High is a time capsule that is imbedded in a brick wall that divides the lobby and the school library. The time capsule can be accessed from inside the library. There is a plaque that hangs in front of the time capsule that reads:

The lobby can be accessed during school hours as well as numerous times throughout the school year (Sept-June) when sporting events are held in the evenings and weekends.
