This tree-stump style Woodmen marker is the only one of it's kind in Salem's I.O.O.F. Pioneer Cemetery. It features the Woodmen slogan "Dum Tacet Clamat" above a dove near the top of the marker. The maul and wedge are found near the bottom of the marker. Unfortunately, the grave marker was vandalized at some point as evidenced by the large break just above the name of the deceased, a Mr. Roy Gray.

Mr. Gray's obituary, which mentions his Woodmen membership, reads:
"At his home on Thirteenth and Ferry streets, Thursday morning, November 19, 1914, Roy Gray, aged 19 years. The funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lehman and Clough’s chapel. The burial will take place in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Deceased was the son of Mrs. Sam Wright of this city. He had been ill for about three weeks with a severe attack of pneumonia before his death. He was popular among his associates in Salem, was at one time a student of the Salem high school and was a member of the Woodmen of the World lodge, serving on the drill team of that order. His sudden passing will be mourned by a large circle of friends." -Oregon Statesman Nov 20, 1914
