Located in front of Owens Hall on the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) campus and in front of an obelisk dedicated to all graduating Surveying classes are a few dedicated benches made of wood. This particular bench has a small, metal plaque that reads:

Sandra Beebe, 53, a former Klamath Falls resident, died Sept. 27, 2001, of cancer at her Lancaster, Calif., home.
A private graveside service will be held.
Mrs. Beebe was born May 28, 1948, Newport News, Va.
She lived in Klamath Falls for six years until moving last May to Lancaster. While in Klamath Falls, she resided in the Rocky Point area and was employed as a secretary at Oregon Institute of Technology.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Jana Beebe; grandson, Anthony; mother, Bo Reynolds; brothers and sisters-in-law, Russ and Shirley Ballard and Bill and Pearl Ballard; five nieces and nephews; four aunts; and three uncles.
She also leaves many special friends in Rocky Point and at Oregon Institute of Technology.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ballard Sr.
