Lewis and Clark were the first non Indians to travel thru this area. The Confederated tribes consist of Umatillas, Cayuse, Walla Walla and their neighbors the Palouse, Wanapum, Yakama, Wyam, Tenino and Naz Perce use this home land and resources.
