The Port of Los Angeles was used for the sailing competition during the 10th Olympiad. It was the first of two games in Los Angeles. The above coordinates are for the Catalina Terminal where the plaque can be found. Here, many competitors from all over the world of different nationalities came to compete for gold, silver, and bronze. Today, the harbor is used for mainly shipping, commerce, and trading with Asian countries.
