From the US97 exit in Redmond, continue generally SE on SW Airport Way for about 0.2 mile. Turn right on SW 19th Street and continue S for 0.9 mile. Park and walk about 1.0 mile generally SSE on an unmarked dirt road. Turn right under the E-leg of the Bonneville Power Administration transmission line. Following a fence line but still on a dirt road, continue S for about 1.4 miles and arrive at the NW corner of T16S R13E S16. Continue S along the fence line for 1.0 mile to the corner.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on pipe in a collar of stones; rising 4"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The section corner is just outside the SW corner of a smooth wire fence that encloses T16S R13E S16. There is an orange Carsonite witness post with a SURVEY MARKER decal. Found four western juniper bearing trees, two on private property. The others each had a nail and washer and a face blaze. The juniper described in the original 1880 survey is blazed and scribed. Based on field measured GPS UTM grid coordinates, this corner bears S1.4°E from WAYMARK WMK56E, 5267' distant.


What property is this mark defining?:
Survey history is found in Deschutes County Surveyors Office, Oregon Corner Restoration Record No. 1329. Land NE of corner is private property owned by Pronghorn, an Auberge Resort; else Bureau of Land Management.
