This clock tower was completed in 1987 but the clock was built in 1782. The clock and cupola, containing the bell, were moved to this location from Deptford a few miles up the River Thames.

The tower was built specially to house the clock and cupola. One bell can be seen through the colums above the clock. It is not known whether the bell is in use but the clock is working.
