Durring the fighting in World War II a young soldier named Willis Reimer prayed to God that he might return alive to his home in Kansas. He promised God that if he should make it he would build a chapel to honor God's grace. Mr. Reimer made it back alive and kept his promise.

The chapel contains three church pews from a Leoti church and a pulpit. Behind the pulpit is a blue stained glass window with a design of praying hands.
