This memorial consists of four plaques in memory of Tim Ling, a great friend who passed away well before his time.

In 2011 a group of long time friends planned a trip together to celebrate their respective 40th birthdays. The destination was Queenstown, New Zealand. For one of the group, Tim Ling, it was to be a trip that he would never take, as he was tragically killed a year prior, leaving behind devasted friends and family.
The remaining friends vowed to make the journey to Queenstown, with each friend bringing a plaque dedicated to Tim, to be mounted somewhere in the Queenstown area. In this small way, Tim did make the trip to Queenstown, as he should have. The plaques were lain a year after his death, almost to the day.
