This Cemetery is on the east side of Island Avenue, 220 feet north of Texas Hwy 100 in Port Isabel, Texas.

The Texas Historical Commission (visit link) says this cemetery was established ca.1900 and contains about 10 graves. It's 0.07 acres.

Find-A-Grave (visit link) lists 'all' 11 interments with photographs for 91% of those listed. They list an additional name of La Palagana Cemetery.

Only two markers have readable dates; 1916 & 1924 and no signs of any recent activity. It is unlikely that the 11th interment listed (d. Feb. 15, 2012) is in this cemetery.

A Port Isabel Tourism site (visit link) lists the names as Palangana Cemetery / Santa Isabel Cemetery and they say this cemetery was designated for a Texas Historical Marker on 17 April 2006 Marker but it is not yet installed.
