The Steubenville YMCA Building was constructed in 1908. The four-story building was designed by architect Herbert B. Briggs in an Italianate style. The building is constructed of light colored brick, stone and terra cotta. The building served the YMCA for several decades and the was vacant for a number of years. The building has been rehabilitated and converted to senior residential apartments. The building appears to be well maintain and in good condition.
