The beautiful little wooden dinghy no longer sails the seas, it lies firmly fixed in a sandy play area in a small park in The Coast subdivision in Papamoa just south of Tauranga city.
The boat bears a small plaque saying it was crafted by Colin Brown Shipwright Ltd.
One rear seat board has recently been broken, and it is a rather sad sight to see such a little beauty lying helpless in the playground at the mercy of all the destructive little terrors who don't see the value of such a lovely craft.
Please note: As yet this doesn't show up on Google maps. Take The Coast Subdivision signposted street off Papamoa Beach Road and follow to the end, then turn right and you'll see the little green grassy park.
