The sundial is located within the grounds of the museum which coves 7 hectares. A plaque on the side of the sundial states that it was in the original garden of the Nugent Family who settled in the valley in 1861. The dial is dated 1872.

It was near midday when I visited & I estimated the time to be accurate to within 15 minutes, adjusted for daylight savings.
Sundial Type: Horizontal - Flat base, Ground or Pedestal mounted dial plate
