De 4 signalkanoner er placeret ved mindemærket for belejringen af Nakskov i 1659.
Signalkanonerne kom først frem i 1700 tallet og blev for det meste brugt ved flåden til at signalere til andre skibe.
Man ved ikke hvor disse kanoner stammer fra.

Signal guns did not appear until 1700 and was mostly used by the navy to signal to other ships.
