Siskiyou Daily News - Yreka, CA - Newspaper Headquarters on Waymarking.com

The Siskiyou Daily News has been a publication in Yreka since 1856 (as noted on their Facebook page). The paper started under a different name before operating under the current name. There were also at least two other competing newspapers during the late 1800s with the Siskiyou Daily News eventually becoming the sole newspaper for the community. The newspaper has sister publications that publish in the outlying areas:

The Siskiyou Daily News' office is in a quonset hut-like building. I don't know the history behind this building or if the building was erected to house the newspaper but it has character.
