The historic 1911 Bank of Eureka at 240 E Street in Eureka, California. This one-story brick, concrete, and terra cotta building was constructed for the Bank of Eureka and Savings Bank of Humboldt County. The building permit was issued on June 1, 1911 and the bank was built by W.C. Concannon Company of San Francisco for a cost of $62,983. The building was completed on July 15, 1912. The building sits on a granite base, while the exterior is clad with glazed terra cotta rusticated to resemble stone. The building was designed by the noted San Francisco architect, Albert Pissis. The building became the Clarke Museum in 1960 and an addition was added to the north side in 1978. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 12, 1982 and it is also a contributing structure in the Eureka Historic District which was placed on the National Register on October 15, 1991
