The historic Hotel Arcata is located at 708 9th Street at the NE corner of the historic Arcata Plaza. The building is a three story, flat roofed, brick building with minimal Beaux Arts detailing and was built in 1914-15. The hotel contained 48 rooms and fully occupies a 75 ft wide by 115 ft deep city lot, with the west wall abutting another building. The hotel was built to serve the travelers brought to Arcata with the completion of the railroad in 1914.
