Exelse brug - Lochem - the Netherlands - Arch Bridges on Waymarking.com

In de crisisjaren is het Twenthekanaal aangelegd. Op dat moment zijn deze brug én nog meerdere min of meer gelijksoortige bruggen gebouwd. Na ruim 80 jaar is het ontwerp van deze bruggen nog steeds niet echt gedateerd te noemen.
Bij de aanleg van de rondweg om Lochem lag de brug eigenlijk verkeerd. De brug is toen over rails ± 65 m "opgeschoven".
Dit leverde ten opzichte van nieuwbouw een besparing op van € 1.900.000 (in 1992).
