You will have to take the Balfour Ferry, it is free and one of the longest free ferries in Canada. How is that for a bonus.

Great food and you get to take a free ferry ride...

Bob's serves some of the best pizza we have tried, plus his bacon burger is something I would definitely go back and have again. Though it is a tiny town and the competition is somewhat limited, it gets our vote for Best Burger in Town.

Neither of us being drinkers of note, we declined the opportunity to sample the brews, but the food and the atmosphere are well and truly enough to recommend this place.

So our recommendation to you is, the next time you are waiting for the Balfour Ferry at Kootenay Bay and pangs of hunger attack, take a quick run up to Bob's at Riondel. And don't forget to sign his guest book on the way out.
