This 1926 official Oregon Trail marker has the beautiful medallion designed by James Earl Fraser in a concrete base. It stands along US 26 in the lawn of the Fort Laramie visitor Center downtown.

Although an Oregon Trail medallion is affixed to this monument, it is dedicated to all the pioneers on the three major emigrant trails (The Oregon Trail, the California Trail, and the Mormon Pioneer Trail) that passed through Fort Laramie on the way west.
