This is the so-called 'Sparkassenbrunnen', a fountain located at 'Stiftkirche' in the center of Stuttgart, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.

This is the so-called 'Sparkassenbrunnen', a fountain located at 'Stiftkirche' in the center of Stuttgart, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.
The fountain has been created in 1955 by Prof. Alfred Lörcher.
There has been another fountain befere, that had been created in 1919. But this one has been destroyed durring World War I.
The actual one has been renovated in 1998.
It has a round stone basin to keep the water.
Inscription:
'Ernte wächst nur wo gesäht,
darum spare eh es zu spät.'
(Crop grows only where sown,
therefore spare before its too late.)
It is in use from May to September.
