On the front façade of the recently rebuilt Kaslo Hotel are two murals which deal with bits of Kaslo's history. This is a reminder of Kaslo's long since vanished brewery.

This is a flagstone mural made of various coloured rocks and painted rocks. It depicts a steam locomotive, presumably hauling a load of Kaslo Brewing Company Beer to market. It is near the centre of the front of the hotel.
R. E. A. Mueller opened the Kaslo Brewery in 1898 and remained operational for only five years. Inactive between 1903 and 1905, the plant was sold to the owners of the New York brewery near Sandon but was destroyed by fire that same year.
The Kaslo Brewing Company name was resurrected, at least temporarily, in the form of a brewpub within the hotel. It appears, though, that the hotel's pub has stopped brewing and has reverted to the status of a pub and restaurant.
