Stary znak brnenskeho biskupstvi (Rektorat VUT) - Brno, Czech Republic - Coats of Arms on Waymarking.com

Stará verze znaku brnenské diecéze na budove Rektorátu VUT Brno, která byla predtím tzv. Biskupským alumnátem (biskupský alumnát pri Antonínské ulici v letech 1900–1903, Antonín Tebich).

Znak brnenské diecéze: v roce 1777 odvozen od olomoucké arcidiecéze. V 1. a 4. zlatém poli rakouský orel se srdecním štítkem Habsburku s písmeny MT (Marie Terezie), ve 2. a 3. cerveném poli 5 stríbrných špicí v postavení 3 + 2.

V roce 1947 byl navržen heraldikem Bretislavem Štormem nový znak. Na cerném štítu jsou prekrížené zlaté klíce sv. Petra, podložené stríbrným mecem s cerveným jílcem, symbol sv. Pavla.
