This window has several stained glass windows. Most of them are just blue and yellow designs, but two are special. Those two appropriatelt have maritime themes since this is an important coastal city in Mexico. One window depicts Jesus helping a ship's captain at the wheel. The other depicts Jesus helping to raise a man...perhaps a drowning man as a ship is coming to help.
Unfortunately there is no sign at the site indicating the artist, title or date.
The church does not seem to have it's own website.
A historical marker on the church reads (in the English translatiion):
"Church of
Our Lady of the Refuge
The Church of Our Lady of the Refuge, constructed by engineer Marcial Recendiz Galvan, was erected in 1960. Its neo-Gothic style echoes the Cathedral in Guadalajara."
