The Edmond Soccer Club maintains sixteen soccer fields on Danforth, West of Kelly. Soccer is popular in Edmond and these fields are full of happy, athletic children in the fall and spring of the year.

On the west side of the fields, this memorial to Barry Hill consists of a three-sided concrete and brick bench, with a brick pillar on which a bronze plaque reads: <>p>

HEART OF A CHAMPION
Barry N. Hill
1948 - 1995
Dedicated to his children and to the
development of youth soccer in Edmond,
Frontier Country, Oklahoma, the USA,
and even the world...

Small bronze plaques on the sides of the brick pillar show quotes from this man who loved the ganme and its participants: "Never quit", "Play hard", "Have fun", and "Give it your best".

On top of the pillar a bronze sculpture shows a patch of grass on which lay a soccer ball, pair of soccer shoes and two ribbons with medallions.
