The souvenir was inspired by the view from a small one-lane and pedestrians bridge in the »Speicherstadt«, the warehouse quarter of the harbor of Hamburg. More information can be found in the English Wikipedia article on it by clicking

You can reach that spot by car but it seems to be advisable to park nearby and just walk the last few meters due to the fact that this is a one-lane road and stopping on bridges is generally forbidden. Your destination is a bridge called »Kehrwiedersteg«; view eastwards the channel towards two other bridges and streets with the names »Auf dem Sande« and »Kibbelsteg«. As a matter of fact, the artist in charge at Groundspeak (respectively the »Geocaching HQ«) could have choosen many other typical and great lookout points but decided to take this view: A perfect decision since the »Speicherstadt« has its own flair and atmosphere for sure, no matter if you come by in daylight or at nighttimes.

Wenn man zum ersten Mal einen Geocache in Hamburg loggt, erhält man automatisch ein »Souvenir« in sein Profil, ein kleines Abzeichen für »Hamburg«. Dieses Souvenir zeigt den Blick von der Kehrwiedersteg-Brücke in Richtung Osten, den Fleet und die Häuserschluchten der
Speicherstadt entlang zu zwei anderen kleinen Brücken, die »Auf dem Sande« und »Kibbelsteg« heißen. Wer auch immer bei Groundspeak für die Auswahl verantwortlich war, denn es hätte in Hamburg ja noch so viel andere tolle und typische Motive gegeben, hat das super gemacht, denn die Speicherstadt, das alte Lagerhausquartier des Hamburger Hafens, hat sowohl bei Tage wie auch in der Nacht seinen ganz eigenen Flair.
