Kunštát Chateau is one of the oldest noble castles in Moravia. The unique object of the Romanesque castle palace shows that the castle was established as early as in the first half of the 13th century. The noblemen from Kunštát kept the estate until 1521.

The Czech monarch Jirí from Kunštát and Podebrady was the most famous person of this family and he owned the estate in Kunštát between 1427 and 1464. The last owners of the estate were the Counts of Coudenh-Honrichs between 1901 and 1945. In 2002, the chateau was declared the national cultural monument. The valuable complex of chateau buildings is surrounded by a park founded in the 17th century. There is a dog cemetery below the south walls of the chateau from the end of the 19th century, one of the few preserved in our country.

Zámek Kunštát patrí mezi nejstarší šlechtické hrady na Morave. Unikátní objev románského hradního paláce dokládá založení hradu již v 1. pol. 13. století. Páni z Kunštátu drželi panství do roku 1521.

Nejslavnejší z tohoto rodu byl ceský panovník Jirí z Kunštátu a z Podebrad, který byl majitelem kunštátského panství v letech 1427-1464. Posledními držiteli panství byla v letech 1901-1945 hrabata Coudenhove-Honrichsové. V roce 2002 byl zámek prohlášen národní kulturní památkou. Hodnotný komplex zámeckých budov je obklopen parkem, založeným v 17. století. Pod jižními zdmi zámku najdete psí hrbitov z konce 19. století, jeden z mála u nás dochovaných.
