Lakeside Park runs along the West Arm of Kootenay Lake, west from the Big Orange Bridge. The park has pretty much all the facilities one would expect in a park, such as Children's Playground, Baseball/Softball, Soccer, Tennis, Bocci, Swimming, Walking Trails, Fitness Area, picnic pavilion with barbecues, tables, benches, electric tramway, rowing club, sculptures and monuments, gazebos, etc., (and, of course, this labyrinth.
This painting of the Lakeside Labyrinth was done in 2011 by Tea Preville, a Nelson resident whose body of work has become quite large. She is an artist of eclectic output and eclectic media, this one an oil on canvas, from her online gallery of churches in Nelson, BC.
