This hand operated pump is located in the cemetery of the Shoptown Union Church just outside of Liberty Pa. This pump does still work although no one uses it on a regular basis. The church itself was built in 1891, but has not been used for services in many years. There is a group of people raising money to restore the building and turn in into a community center. The pump is located in the adjacent cemetery towards the back, and is protected by a small pavilion. There is a plaque on the building that reads "This Well Given in Loving Memory of Ada Raker King 1876-1967 By Her Daughter Madeliene." The pump was made by Monitor Baker in Evansville, WI, and still has it's handle!
