Jennie Booth Lane -- Forsyth MT - Citizen Memorials on Waymarking.com

A small plaque in honor of Jennie Booth lane is attached to a wooden pedestal inside the front door of the Rosebud Co. Courthouse in Forsyth MT.

This plaque is accessible Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, national holidays excepted. It is located on the first floor of the courthouse, just inside the south entrance.

The pedestal is about 4 1/2 feet tall, and tilted at an odd angle, which makes photography difficult for short Blasters -- like Mama Blaster.

The text of the plaque reads as follows:

"Sarah Jane (Jennie) Booth, the Rosebud County / Forsyth widow of James Reeves Lane (he died 1898) - See Early State Arrival, Billings Gazette, July 15, 1951. After husband's death she was the sole support of a family of eight and became postmistress of Forsyth after 1898. See They Came and They Stayed by Rosebud County History, p 172-174. Died in California on November 7, 1950 at the age of 95. Buried at Rosebud County Cemetery."
