The black granite monument, with the inscription "Veterans Wall of Remembrance 2006", has, engraved on it on both sides, the names of military personnel from the Ottawa, Ontario area and elsewhere who answered the call and died in the service of their country while fighting for freedom. Also engraved on the monument is a remembrance poppy and maple leaf.

Description of Memorial: The monument bearing the names of Canadians who died in the service of their country is located on the grounds of the Capital Gardens, Cemetery, in Ottawa, Ontario. It is as black granite monument measuring approximately 12 feet wide by 5 feet high. The names of veterans from the Ottawa, Ontario area and elsewhere who died in the service of their country during wars in which Canada participated, are inscribed on both sides of the monument. Other than the names of the Canadian military personnel who died and the title, there are no other inscriptions on the monument. Behind the monument are flags, one of which is the Canadian Red Ensign. The Veterans Wall of Remembrance can easily be seen from a road within the cemetery and stands in a well landscape area.
