This is a Buddhist temple in the Chinese style, and something of a tourist attraction in Malang. Entry is through the main courtyard. The Temple is visited by both tourists and the small percentage of locals who are Buddhists. I was not able discover any of the history of the temple. It is possible to have your fortune told during your visit (for a donation). It is located towards the south of the city, and entry is free (though, a donation is the thing to do).
At the main entrance to the Temple are two sets of lion statues, each flanking the entrance. One behind the other. They are in different styles, one Chinese, the other more European, but both are definitely lions.
