This 60 year old neon sign was the first neon sign granted official Tyler Landmark status by the city's Preservation office. The honor was grante shortly after the restaurant won Best Pork Ribs from Texas Monthly in 2010.
Blasterz learned about this first on a plaque in the restaurant reproducing a Tyler Courier-Times-Telegraph newspaper article on the designation. We cannot search the newspaper's articles, so we have supplied a photo of the article in the gallery.
The plaque is located in the alcove leading to the restrooms.
