This station deals with trains linking Sura to the central Javanese cities of Bandung and Yogyakarta, and the smaller destinations along the way. The station is on the southern side of the city. The main building runs along the tracks, shows its age, but is in good repair.
The station is usually crowded, buying a ticket is a rather lethargic process (set aside an hour plus), and a passport is needed for ID. Having said that, tickets are cheap. No English signage, staff speak very little English. Write destinations and details onto paper, and get your mime ready. Without a ticket you cannot pass beyond the ticket counter area of the station.
